Hey it's Keith Kravitz from Grand Canyon Helicopter...
It's been a hot summer but not as bad as last year's, which saw a few days wherein temperatures hit near 120 degrees!
Moral of the story: Dress for comfort and heat.
LAS VEGAS
The number of visitors to Sin City is off the chart. I wouldn't be surprised if Vegas has a record year. As such, make sure you book
your helicopter tour well in advance in order to guarantee yourself a seat.
Right now, the 4-in-1 tour is the one you need to lock in ASAP. This package goes
top, bottom, boat and Skywalk. Do this trip and you'll have pretty much seen/done everything at the West Rim.
We are getting a tremendous amount of action on the air-only tours. These are the ones that don't land. They go over Lake Mead, Hoover Dam, Colorado River and Grand Canyon before heading back. There's a basic air-only and a deluxe air-only. The basic is cheaper. The deluxe costs more
because it includes a tour over the Vegas Strip.
Helicopters from Vegas don't go to the South Rim. It's too far. For that, you'll need to take an airplane tour. These planes hold up to 19 people and turn a 5.5-hour trip on the ground into a 60-minute joy ride. For me, the Vegas plane to South Rim is the only way I'll make the 277-mile journey.
Tours that land at the bottom are still available. But don't wait last-minute to book one. Seems the Champagne Picnic tour is the perfect fit for Vegas Travelers looking to take a break from the Craps tables. Can't blame them. The bottom is an incredible experience and a great place to chill and reset before hitting the high-intensity that comes with the
Strip.
SOUTH RIM
FYI - All South Rim helicopter + Jeep tours have been converted to helicopter + Hummers. These packages are so much better with this upgrade. Open-air Hummers are wider and have more room and are a lot more fun. It's 9
people per Hummer so seats are limited. I recommend the basic helicopter + hummer for folks that want the best air-ground tour imaginable (there's a 50-min. heli + hummer package but it's call-in only. If you want it, give me a ring at
702-530-8687)
There's a great selection of air-only helicopter rides at South Rim but the one that takes the prize is the 50-minute deluxe. I like it because you get
to tour the Canyon in a big, nice new chopper. Plus you do all three rims, which, once completed, will have let you seen up to 75 percent of the Canyon...there's no other way to see this much National Park unless you take this tour!
RAFTING
Rafting tours are in full swing. I got a handful of South Rim float options that kids and families and couples and anyone who likes being on the water will enjoy. I also have a deluxe float that includes airplane transport and a Jeep tour of Antelope Canyon and Horseshoe Bend. If you're in Vegas and you
want a whitewater ride, I still have seats on this tour.
IN SUM
That's the latest and the greatest on helicopter tours and more. If you need a tour, reply back to this email and tell me what you want and I'll get you information. If you book a tour, remember to send me your reservation number. I'll verify and validate you and, if you're doing a Vegas tour, I'll send you the Vegas coupons. If you're doing a South Rim tour, I'll send you the South Rim Guide & Map for iPhone,
Android, and PC.
Have a great day!
