Keith Kravitz' Grand Canyon Tours
This Week's Hot Tours...
Hey it's Keith Kravitz and here's a list of what's hot when it comes to Grand Canyon tours from Las Vegas & South Rim...
Basic Landing Tour
Las Vegas is the only place where you can fly below the rim and land on the bottom. And when you land, you get to enjoy a Champagne picnic alongside the amazing Colorado River. Find out why this basic landing tour is the most popular flight we offer. Learn more...
Deluxe Landing Tour
In my opinion, this deluxe Las Vegas landing tour is the best value. It does everything the basic one does plus it comes with a stretch limousine for transport to and from your Strip Hotel as well as an extended tour over The Strip. Read more...
Basic Flyover Tour
This basic all-air tour is the cheapest helicopter option out of Las Vegas. It goes over Hoover Dam and Lake Mead before entering Canyon airspace. Then it goes over all the Canyon's key landmarks before heading back. Further, there's a heck of a sale going on NOW for this flight. Learn more....
Deluxe Flyover Tour
This deluxe Vegas all-air tour does exactly what the basic one does but includes free limousine transport to and from your hotel as well as an extended flight over the fabulous Vegas Strip. Like all deluxe tours, you're also going to be flying in the superior EcoStar 130. Read more...
Best Skywalk Helicopters
The Skywalk is Las Vegas' #1 outdoor attraction. And for good reason, too, because you get to walk 75 feet over the edge until you're standing 4K feet over the bottom. There several superb helicopter tours that will get you there and they come in basic and deluxe. But hurry. These flights sell out quick. Learn more...
Top 3 South Rim Helicopters
The South Rim is located in northern Arizona (277 miles from Las Vegas and 3.5 hours from Phoenix, AZ). Flights here are all-air and come in basic and deluxe versions. You can even add a Jeep tour to the mix. For the money, the best tour is the 50-minute flight, which takes you over 75 percent of the National Park. Read more...
Weight Fees
There are no weight limits on helicopters. But there are surcharges. My research shows the fees kick in if you weigh more than 299 pounds. And if that's the case you'll either pay an additional amount or be required to purchase two seats. I've made a lot of noise against these surcharges. Now I'm resigned that they are here to stay indefinitely. Learn more...
Types of Helicopters
There are basic and deluxe helicopter tours. Basic tours use the older model aircraft while deluxe typically use the EcoStar 130. The former option is cheaper than the later, which offers a 180-degree wrap window and stadium-style seats. Both choppers are superb for sightseeing. But whether you go with one or the other depends on your budget. Read more...
