Hey it's Keith Kravitz and here's a list of what's hot when it comes to Grand Canyon helicopter tours from Las Vegas & South Rim...

Las Vegas Skywalk Express
|
What's the best outdoor attraction in Vegas? By far it's the Skywalk. Famous for letting intrepid travelers walk 70 feet over the edge, the Skywalk is a definite must-do. There's a deluxe version of this tour (my preference) as well as
this basic one.

Best tour ever. And the most comprehensive. This trip leaves no stone unturned! Highlights include the 3,500-foot descent to the bottom. The boat down the majestic Colorado. And a walk on the Glass Bridge. Anyone who does this trip should get a merit badge…

Land on Bottom w/ Champagne Picnic
|
This trip cuts to the chase and does all the exciting stuff first! Go straight to the bottom and celebrate the adventure with a Champagne picnic. There's plenty of time
afterward to puff out your chest, stroll the Colorado’s riverbank and declare yourself King of the World!

South Rim Helicopter (50-Minutes)
|
The only South Rim
tour I recommend if you are visiting the Canyon and don't plan to come back. This tour covers all the bases. Of course, you could walk about, sweat, and see a tiny fraction of the National Park. Or do this
puppy and see up to 75 percent of it while basking in the A/C!

Helicopter & Rafting Tour
|
The window for doing raft tours is limited to ONLY the summer months. So if you want to put on your trunks and get wet in the Colorado, you gotta go now. And if you gotta go now, why not combine it with a helicopter ride to the bottom! Do this trip and you’ll feel like a true explorer.

We in the industry call them "day parts," which is a fancy
way of referring to the time of day that helicopters fly. There’s morning, afternoon and evening. After years of doing this, I’ve come to the conclusion that the following timeframes are best in terms of visibility and smooth air.

Vegas helicopters only fly to the West Rim (the South is too far). So it might be a good idea to bone up on what to do and see prior to arrival. Indeed, there's the Skywalk, but the West Rim is a huge place that's just bristling with adventure for
anyone who’s willing to make the effort.
