Hi,
Keith from Grand Canyon Helicopters and I hope this message finds you safe and well.
Here's a quick update on Las Vegas, Grand Canyon and our helicopter tours:
Currently, Las Vegas is shutdown. I never thought I'd see Vegas empty of travelers but that day has come.
Right now, non-essential business, which includes casino-resorts and more, is closed until mid-April. No word yet if that date will be extended.
Grand Canyon West, which is the part of the Canyon you see when visiting
Vegas, is shutdown until April 18.
Grand Canyon National Park, also know as the South Rim, is open but amenties are super-limited. All in-park lodging (e.g. El Tovar, Maswick, Thuderbird, etc.), the RV park and Mather Campground are closed.
In-park lodging will re-open May 22, 2020.
Nothing's changed in terms of our tours. We are 100 percent NOT flying until April 20. This applies to all helicopter, airplane, raft and bus tours that depart from Las Vegas and South Rim.
Reservations are now being accepted for tours starting April 20. Don't forget our iron-clad cancel-refund policy:
Tours can be rescheduled free of charge. Or they can be cancelled for a 100-percent refund for health reasons. Same applies if there's a weather issue. Further, you are free to cancel and get a full refund if you do it 24 hours before flight time.
