Vegas: Champagne Helicopter |
Standing (or sitting) on the bottom of the Grand Canyon is definitely a reason to celebrate! This trip, which I refer to as the Champagne picnic tour, is an all time favorite. There are two versions. The basic and the deluxe. The basic takes off from Boulder City (20 mins. from LV) and the deluxe departs from The Strip. Both go over Lake Mead and Hoover Dam. And both come with food and "bubbles." All in all, two tours that deserve your consideration.

Looking for the flight of a lifetime? Try a sunset bottom picnic landing tour from Las Vegas. These trips go over Lake Mead, Hoover Dam, and the Colorado River before landing at the base for
Champagne. As the sun slowly fades to twighligh, you fly back to Vegas as the Vegas lights turn on and do a tour from the top of the Strip to the bottom. Book this tour here...

South Rim: 50-Minute Heli Ride |
The only way to see up to 75 percent of the Canyon in under an hour is by heli. Which is awesome if you are in the Park for a short period of time. Or don't want to walk 6.5
hours to the bottom. Or raft down the River for 14 days...you get the picture. The Canyon's a once-in-a-lifetime decision and if you're one who want's to max out the National Park, do the 50-minute heli ride...

Tips: Favorite Airplane Rides
|
Faster and cheaper than helicopters, airplanes are ideal for large groups and travelers who want an air tour but are on a limited budget. Plus, if you're
taking off from Vegas, there are a slew of incredible side trips you can add to the mix. Such as, you ask? For starters, you can include a helicopter to the bottom, a boat ride down the Colorado, or a VIP ticket to the Skywalk. Frankly, I just love how flexible these air packages are!

South Rim: 4x4 Jeep Tours
|
We've got a bunch of new open-air Hummer/Jeep tours for this fall. These are guided excursions inside the National Park and they include stopping at several key landmarks and lookouts. The cheapest option is the standard Jeep and then comes the sunset Jeep. If you really want to get adventurous, try the 30-minute helicopter w/ 2-hour Jeep tour.

If you've got time, bus tours from Vegas to the Canyon are the ideal way to reach the National Park. Expect to spend a full day (sun up to sun down) on these road trips. Still undeterred? Good! Because
they come with lunch and all taxes and fees, too! Plus, you can pick to do the West Rim or the South Rim (but you can't do both). So hit the high road and discover why the Canyon is so freakin' awesome. Go here for more bus tour info...

South Rim: 1-Day Float Tours
|
Probably one of my favorite ways to spend a day at the South Rim. Float tours come in basic and deluxe and are open to kids as young
as 4 years of age. The float itself is more than 15 miles down the Colorado River and you'll see parts of the Canyon that will blow you away. Please bear in mind that float tours run until the end of Nov. and pick up again second week of March. Get more float tour info here...

Pssst...I got a great Las Vegas airplane tour recommendation for you. It's the one that departs daily and includes a VIP ticket to the Grand Canyon Skywalk. Further, it goes over Lake Mead and
Hoover Dam enroute, gives you nearly four hours exploration time and comes with a snack pack. That's what I call a great deal. Apparently others agree as this tour constantly sells out. Get prices and flight times here...
